Rocker arm support plate quick question

Default Rocker arm support plate quick question

2009 ultra I am putting it back together. I am tdc on front cylinder when i place the rocker arm support on top if the rocker housing it rocks a bit before i tighten it down. Is this normal just checking before I tighten it diwn. Thanks

It's normal.... as you tighten down the support plate (slowly, evenly in a criss cross pattern) the pushrods will push down into the lifters and things will even out

As you tighten them down, evenly pull/push them toward the right side (pushrod side) to center them properly and align with pushrods to help with defeating any valvetrain noise.
