Pakistani leather jackets?
#51
I just went and looked at the leather jacket I currently wear and have worn since around 2002. MAS leather patrolman style jacket that is extremely well made, all double stitched, very heavy, nicely lined, and hasn't faded one bit in probably 100,000 miles of use in all types of weather. The only care I've ever given it is wiping off the bug guts with a wet wash cloth when they get bad enough. Guess what, it was made in Pakistan! Maybe these aren't garbage afterall.

FWIW, I have a black leather Tour Master riding jacket I purchased back in 2009...it's very well made and has held up just fine, it was also made in Pakistan. I can't wear it any longer due to my fat *** gaining about 20 lbs....once I get this weight off I'll be wearing it again. Not all jackets made in Pakistan are junk...just sayin'.

If you know your size try browsing around on ebay. Plenty of good sellers who are willing to answer your questions and even accept returns within 30 days. I found my Fox Creek jacket on ebay for $220 from a seller who answered all my questions & sent all the photos and measurements I asked for.

Never wiped one down for bugs in all these years. I dunno where they go, but they go some where.
I couldn't imagine paying Harley prices for foregin leather. I realize the US company puts standards on those company, more you pay, more they require from them. But I am not just not paying that much for non USA. Especially when that is standard design you can get anywhere, without the HD branding.

I refuse to buy Pakistani products. Pakistani safe havens for Taliban insurgents and their failure to cut off Taliban supplies despite (or probably because of) their ISI "security" folks helped kill and maim many innocent Afghans along with G.I.s
Doing business with Pakistan gives its corrupt government more tax money. Remember how easy it was for OBL to hide ~1300 meters from the Pakistan Military Academy? Remember how the US didn't dare trust Islamabad with the raid info?
The only way to fix Pakistan is a bunch of Indian nukes. Paks helped slay and wound my G.I. brothers and sisters. I refuse to give them my money.
