Default Saw a 2019 Electra Glide Standard

I was in Rattlesnake Mountain Harley Davidson yesterday to get new tires on my bike. Waiting for my wife to pick me up, I wandered in to the new bike showroom. Much to my surprise the 1st bike I saw was a 2019 Electra Glide Standard. I didn't get much of a chance to look it over though. I glanced at the price tag and sure enough just like Harley Davidson said the bike was $18,999. The reason I didn't really look the bike over was because I was stunned - the actual bottomline price was $22,100. More than three grand over what Harley said they would be. I did note it had $192 for accessories and (I'm not making this up) $1200 for "GPS Security". My wife rolled up about then and I thought I better get out of there before they mugged me and steal my wallet. They waited to do that until I picked the bike up after the tire change.

I was thinking that with just ABS should be able to get out the door for less than $20k.

Well, it is Spring. Some impulse buyer will pick it up and then post on here how he got screwed and ask what he should do about it.

I wasn't buying the OP's story, but then I looked at the outfit's website. I don't care to deal with folks who don't put their prices out in the open.

Wild Bill, I am more than willing to take you over to the dealer, look at the bike, and buy you beer and Mexican food afterwords if you aren't a crazy man. I was pressed for time because the wife showed up but for some reason I was stunned at the $22K price for a stripper. I shouldn't of been. They put $38 for shop supplies on my tire change bill and when I said WTF they immediately pulled it off. Based on that, maybe you could get the bike for $18K!

Mine was 18999 + 900-something for prep and 400-something for doc, etc. Those fees woul have applied to any new bike in the showroom, though. It's BS that some of these dealers are tacking on additional accessories; glad mine didn't.

I don't believe you either! Could you include a return air ticket with the beer and scoff?

It's BS that dealers are charging for prep too, being as how Harley already compensates them for doing it. They're double-dipping at your expense.
