.....when they said they'd give you $7500, when it came down to signing the papers, they would've really have given you $5700 after they "belittled" your bike and said "Your tires are worn, your battery needs replaced, the seat is a little worn, oh wait, here's a scratch, here's another, your bike needs serviced, your bike also....."
...I tried in 2015 trading in a 2012 SuperGlide, gorgeous with 2300mi to a couple of local dealers and they offered anywhere from $7700 to $8600. Walked out of each. One dealer over an hour away had a 3 day only promotion giving 100% NADA "retail" values on a big twin trade-ins(as long as the bike was low mile/perfect/near perfect). Ended up getting $10,555 for it towards a new '15 RK. thought I came out OK on that one.
