What alot of people don't know is, Car makers, motorcycle makers, truck makers ect, have their engineers design new motors and vehicles all the time. They then decide when and if they are ever going to put them into production. They apply for patents for designs and names ahead of time so when they need one, they don't have to rush thru the process, only to find out another mfgr already holds the right to a name, or what ever they were going to use.,,
