are you moving there or just visiting (vacationing). If vacationing it would be cheaper to rent a bike there. No possibility of your bike being damaged, no shipping costs. Not sure if customs gets involved. Most dealers rent and some offer a fly n ride package deal. And if you don't mention that you are going, your bike won't get jealous.

Careful crossing the ocean, all that water might make its way into the air cleaner and could stall it out.

I don’t have experience with bikes but helped people take cars over and get them registered in Europe. Biggest issues iirc were tire ratings and having the speedometer in km/h. Others probably know more.

Hi
https://www.lindhd.co.uk/pages/renta...on-rentals.htm
I have family who live in tampa .
They come over to the UK quite often and rent a Harley thru the summer ,most Harley dealers do a rental option in the uk and Europe.
A road king or glide would run to a $1000 dollars a week quite expensive but cheaper models are available ,you have to balance the cost of shipping and all it involves both ways against the rent a deal can be done for longer term hire , hope that helps .

Assuming its a relatively short term trip, I think you are opening up a can of worms and a lot of cost. See if you can track down a freight forwarder with vehicle experience and they can probably walk you through what all is involved (and deal with the shipment issues).

If it's a longer than average trip, may be cheaper to buy a 2nd hand one then sell it when you're done.

I stumbled upon this thread on an adventure riders forum about a guy who not only went coast to coast but had his Harley flown to Europe to ride around. Awesome read. Pretty sure there's some information on the requirements.
