HD Cincinnati NOT Closing After all. Sale Was Recinded
Tuesday evening 4/30/19 the owners announced that there will be no sale of the Cincinnati / Thoroughbred dealership previously announced. Instead the two locations will continue operations as in the past. The word is that the present owners may still sell the dealership at some time in the future but to a buyer who intends to keep the two locations in operation. I'm sure the news was happily received by all affected employees. I suppose many customers are pleased as well.

Good news for you! Was the prospective buyer a family operation that owns a number of dealerships across the country? Curious because last year, Naples and Six Bends in Ft. Myers HD were sold, and soon after, Naples HD was closed and the building put up for sale. Ft. Myers became Rockstar HD, and now I have a 50+ mile trip to the nearest HD dealer.

Looks like requiring Taj Mahal dealerships with massive overhead didn't just kill the Mom and Pop shops. Just because that particular dealership isn't folding right away doesn't mean it the staff would be unwise to look for greener pastures. If there's enough demand and a lack of independent shops proficient with newer HDs that could be an opportunity for the right person to hire the right crew.
Unless it's part of the contract "intent" doesn't matter.

From elsewhere
I found from Steve Miller last night, they never were closing.
What I heard today was a disgruntled ex-employee started the story with enough detail to the right people, and it was all over town in a day.
Fake news at it's finest. I almost didn't post it because I couldn't find anything in the news about it closing. But thought, well businesses close all the time and it doesn't make headlines.
Glad it's still there.
