Hi all fist time posting. Im having trouble finding a seat online. I have a 16’ Roadster, and i took it in to my dealer for an oil change and general maintenance. When i got it back, the seat had a giant puncture. Long story short the tech had an open knife in his back pocket when he went on a test ride and it cut into my seat. I had an argument with the mang. And they said they would replace it, but for whatever reason they cant wont give me the original seat saying they dont have it in stock and they cant order it. Its the seat i bought the bike with (from them) and i like it very much. Dont want another seat.

Its the original fastback seat that came on the roadsters. If anybody can find it for sale online so i can have my dealer buy it please let me know.

be sure to keep the original seat. You might be able to send it to someone like mean city cycles and have them recover it. or maybe a local upholstery shop can do it for you.

I asked and they said they are not going to cover mean city cycles. They are only going to purchase a new seat. (Which they want me to purchase and then they will reimburse me).

They keep changing what they say. I might have to get their corporate involved.

Does no one know where to just get another one online though??

 

If this seat is an original equipment seat from a 2016 Sportster Roadster then there is absolutely no reason what so ever that they can't order a replacement from Harley, or do a search of other dealers inventory and buy it. The manager is jerking you around, don't stand for it.

 

Here how I see it - they [the dealer] f*cked it up; let them solve the problem. I'd be searching for the local Small Claims Court if I was you. BTW, it was previously suggested you find a new dealer. My thought was, "hey, mistakes are made". However, the **** they are putting you through, I indeed think it's time to find a new dealer - after you sue their ***, that is.
