i always watch for deals online. Order up and have them waiting for when my indy is in the mood to change tires. He doesn't charge extra if I supply the tires. In fact he doesn't charge me at all. Hell of a guy he is.

I have an American Elite on the front of my Road King that is cupped right now. It had 35 psi in it. Never had a 402 do that.

I have a e glide with dunlops that are fine but my daughter has a street bob and the dunlops wear fast. Rear 6k miles on a road trip not city driving. Will look in to changing the brand

I beg to differ. I have a TPMS installed on mine, and check the pressure before every ride. And after 10,000 miles my OEM Dunlop/HD tires have cupping. dealer told me this happens when a lot of the mileage is on the highway.

I just found a new Indy to help finish getting my 05 FXSTSI road ready. It had less than 5K when I bought it. I wanted them to give it a good going over and mount new tires as it had the originals still on it. I had done a bunch of other stuff like fluids, changed the obnoxiously loud exhaust for a stock one (for now) I bought from a member here, and some other stuff like new S&S A/C, grips, throttle tube, etc..

I asked for a quote for the work and they gave me a detailed quote no questions asked. I wanted to try the Pirelli Night Dragons and was happy with their price. Better yet, the tires were manufactured a few months back, not years.

It's no surprise that an "indy" is going to be less expensive, usually with a higher level of competency as well, compared to a dealer. Also, since the wheels are off, now is the opportune time to inspect/replace brake pads. (And for you Ludites, shoes.)
Figure if you're down to 30% or less, now is a good time to change 'em out. Stick with the same compound pad as before and you'll have less lever "pulse" from uneven pad material layering on the rotor.

For things like tires - I always prefer an Indy, especially since I like swap over to Avons once the H-D tires need replacing.
