My $0.02. And that is all it is worth.
I use the “SOA inspired “ style in matte black. The first one I got I returned it because the matte finish pealed off of it. The replacement did the same thing. My wife has the same helmet. Same issue. A friend had a the same helmet in matte black and the finish pealed off of it. I got a 2nd replacement. Same issue with the finish. So I sanded mine down and rattle canned it. The helmet looks ok now. My friend went to a gloss black when he replaced his. The gloss seems to hold up better than the matte black.
As for fit, low profile the ease of the ratchet strap, it is a great helmet. But the finish failing on so many makes me question the overall quality.

Same deal here....went with silver, makes the helmet cooler than black. Ol lady went with white....they are refreshingly comfortable in 98 degree humidity.

Anyone using one of these care to chime in?

Here’s a pic of the one I ordered.
I went with the Akoury matte black helmet from Blackbeards , looks like it’s the same helmet just with out the peak. Very comfortable light weight helmet and don’t lift off my head on highway. I went through several helmets this one is the best so far. https://www.blackbeardsgear.com/

Nobody can see that black helmet, and it doesn't provide any protection.

See the thread I started last night. You need to be seen. Use that helmet real estate to advertise your presence.

How hard would it be to change the chin strap to the old style D-ring? I really don't like all that hardware. Thanks

Any of those shorty helmets want to lift off my head at anything above 50 mph. But, I have no windshield.

its well vented and I have no problem seeing out of it. It doesn’t look as cool as the Daytona but the protection it offers more than makes up for it.

Yup. Not only that but the wind at 70mph makes my eyewear rattle and blurs my vision. For those reasons I'm getting ready to shop for a full face.

I have a long thin neck, no matter what helmet I put on I look like a big head alien from Star Trek.
