I'm on my second helmet. Replaced my first one due to 5 year helmet rule. First one was the standard helmet, matte black. 2nd one is the SOA inspired gloss black as it has a little more coverage on the back of the head. SOA wasn't available 5 years ago. I have been pleased with them. I told myself I would wear a helmet if I ever found one that didn't make my head look like a *****. I didn't want a full face helmet so when I came across this one, I purchased on the spot and have been wearing it ever since. Now I rotate between this helmet for majority of my rides and my shark evoline 3 modular helmet for long distance/highway riding.

Glad you don’t look like a *****.

Maybe this helmet will help me out a bit?? My wife often refers to me as a ********...

I have the Akoury AK66 in carbon matte finish (SOA style) similar to the Crazy Al's. Awesome helmet. Super lightweight and the finish hold up great. Once you have that quick ratchet chin strap you'll never wand a D-ring helmet again. Agree about FF helmets. No matter which one I try my visibility suffers which to me is not safe at all. I know for a fact I have avoided 2 accidents with people coming up decide/behind me. Zero way I could have avoided either one with a FF helmet.

Got it today...

Its a little snug but not too bad. Quiet even with the visor snapped on. Lighter than my novelty.

I can get use to it... No more worries about getting a ticket.

I feel the same. I have the same Akoury and it is good as it gets. I cannot get used to the FF I have, feels claustrophobic and restrictive, I'll keep trying.

I would like to get a 3/4 with a face shield for weather.

I like the wind, with some ear plugs.

Your reasoning chain concludes that a premise of wearing a real helmet implies driving exactly the speed limit in the left lane.

We know to keep you out of any of the decision-making occupations.

I bought an akoury ak-88 and it has been a great helmet. Perfect for the warm days. I plan to buy another full face later on but for running around town when it’s warm out it works great. I purchased a “sleeve” to pull up over my face that covers my face and neck and it was worked surprisingly well for deflecting bugs and stuff.

Right. The OP asked for opinions on a specific helmet. Not for a lecture from the Safety Police.
