Loud pipes for sure don’t hurt... We gotta be very alert of everyone around us.

Can’t believe I use to ride after heavy drinking in my younger days. This was prior to Cali helmet laws and I somehow got through that time in my life. At 50 years old I stay sober and alert... God knows our reflects don’t improve with time.

Keep high beams and passing lights on during the day and keep the pipes singing.

Be careful out there ladies and gents it happens in the wink of an eye.

We just had a 19 year old riding a crotch rocket run from the cops and broad sided a suv at an intersection at 170 mph in a 40 mph zone on a Saturday afternoon. Very busy street in the middle of the day. Don't want to see anyone ever get hurt, but this kid had a death wish. What a shame. I feel for the parents. Never get use to hearing of the crashes.

I just read an article on how to avoid getting into an accident on a motorcycle. They never mentioned a SMIDSY. I use it frequently.

I agree that the Dad will be kicking himself. One of my son's rides and it weighs on my mind.

I agree. That's why I park in the lot 10 miles from my house, then walk home.
Those last 10 miles are the most dangerous.

The driver, a lady, wasn't even arrested or charged. In Indiana, it's open season on motorcyclists. Kill one, and nothing will happen to you.

This needs to change, right now.
I saw this on the news. They really are trying to kill us.Very sorry about your friend.
The idiot that turned left in front of me last weekend was drunk, but even sober there was no way he could have seen me.
I was lucky I wasn't seriously hurt. I have no doubt he did not see me. He couldn't have, because there was a big truck also turning left.
Why would you go ahead and turn when you have no idea if anything is coming?
The guy that hit me 2 years ago (head on, while I was stopped waiting to pull out of a parking lot) had no insurance and a prior conviction for accident with no insurance.
He got 6 months suspended and 6 months probation. That's it.
Someone told me they have already seen the guy who hit me last week driving his car. I'm sure his license got yanked since they arrested him for felony DUI.

I look at it this way, you can die sitting in a Lazyboy recliner. Can't imagine the regrets you'd have when you're drawing your last breath and realizing all the 'what if's'.

Life's a gamble, live it! "Tomorrow is promised to no man"...
