Solely for the purpose of riding with a passenger, does anyone know if a 06+ Dyna seat will fir on a FXLR Low Rider Custom 1994. I do realize that quite a bit of modifying and making mounting brackets etc. would be necessary, it would be a non-starter though if the seat was totally the wrong shape to start with.
I have the opportunity of a Tall Boy Dyna seat at the right price (and I am tall)
Any ideas anyone?
I would take it straight off and fit the low profile Arlen Ness seat back on after riding 2 up, so no sacrilege going on here!
(I do have access to a machine shop and am a mechanical engineer)

 

Mines a 92 and the seat opens sideways on a hinge. Not sure about a 94 but seats for fxrs are totally different from most.

My '94 is the same way. Because of the major differences between the two frames, it won't fit without a LOT of modifications.

 

I had a 93 FXLR and the FXR is a totally different bike all together.
