Anyone want a NOS 2006 Superglide?

My wide glide had a brand new 95" motor in it with 211 cams and a new Mikuni HS42 and ran like a raped ape!
Unfortunately because it was a Wide Glide and had that p.o.s. front end it handled like a truck.
This is it on the first day that I had it....
This is it now....
It's a way better motorcycle now.

I've had a couple of FXR guys tell me that I shouldn't have modified a good old school FXR tank to put it on my Dyna.....They really **** themselves when I tell them that it was an original '83 with pristine paint and the emblems that some guys seem to love.
They **** them selves more when I tell them I have 4 more just like it and that I have modded other ones in the past for a couple for guys I know to fit their Dynas.

Now to answer your question....No, It has no negative effect.
Look at most sport bikes, they are either dead level or a little higher in the back and the handle very well (at least the ones I've ridden have)
As long as the suspension is set up well.
It was lower in the rear when it had all the Wide Glide junk on it and it handled like ****....Now it handles great.

I think steering rake (within a reasonable range) is a personal preference. I came from a metric backround with steeper head angles. I just can't seem to get used to anything more than 28 degrees. For me it just feels awkward. Especially at low speeds. I get the stability thing, but I've had bikes up to stupid triple digits and no issues. That said, a good steering damper is nice to have if you spend a lot of time over 100.
