Um. CVOs are limited production vehicles. They're literally custom bikes a bit like If Jesse James was making a set of bikes just in a larger scale, or if you were lookin for a Mustange Bullitt.
If you really wanted a CVO in the right color, then yeah search the dealers around the country, call em up, and have it freighted to your home for 600~800$

Answers like this surprise me. you are the customer not the MOCO. Let the dealer you like and have previous experience with work for you and earn the sell (they are making money off you). There is no reason that a customer should have to go hunting for a product when there is a dealer every 20 miles.

Guy I work work bought a 18 CVO, we're bay area, dealer down in LA he's bought a few bikes through called him directly told him what he had and shot a price over the phone. Man flew to LA the next weekend and rode the bike back.
OP mistake you are making is thinking you have negotiation room on a bleeding edge CVO in the first place, you don't the price will be fixed you either want it or you don't. Do you own leg work contact dealers within a radius you are comfortable traveling in tell them what you want and see who comes up with it first. They want to sell the bike, CVO's are pricey mothers so they should pay attention unless you come off as clueless rube.
