Default M8 or older Twin cam

Hi Guys. Sold my 2005 Dyna lowrider.
want to Newer Street Glide . I know a guy with a Mint 2014 street glide special that is totally Mint. Tons of after market stuff. Saddlemen step up seat . Has the boom audio 6.5. Factory daymaker headlight. Just had the service done, new front tire. Rear has 4K on it. Has ABS brakes..switchblade highway pegs that fold out from the running boards. Stage 1 done by Harley and about a dozen more add ons. the bike has 30000kms on it. About 20000 miles. But I can get a 2018
street glide with the m8 with 12000km for about $2000.more. Not as many add ons and is also Mint. Still has factory warranty for a year, stage one. Passenger back rest . Tires with 1K on them, it’s silver and Not black and a color change is fine with me.
So those of you with the M8 107 are you loving it? And those Twin Cam 103 owners what are your thoughts? New bike This week but I’m stuck on the .
”This one or that one” fence
Thanks
D.M

I bought a new '18 Street Glide last October, and so far I'm real happy with it (except for the crappy rear suspension, a known issue that I fixed by installing Legend shocks). But I'm also real happy with my TC 103 Road King. The differences between the two engines are not as earth-shattering as some would have you believe.

In your case the newer bike represents the far better value if it's only $2k more than the '14. The extras installed on the older bike shouldn't add that much to the sale price, and there are plenty of bikes on the Canadian market with much less than 30k km. on them.

My '18 is the Silver Fortune color, is that what you're looking at?

Well I for one do not have both, so I can't give anything very valuable, except a question. The twin cam is a proven engine, has all the bugs been worked out of the M8 yet? It is just a question.

I'd go with the M8, no question.

Yeah, me too. I'll admit it wasn't my first choice but now I'm glad I got it. Just curious, what is the ask on the '18 model?

Don't believe everything you see on the interwebs. There are far greater number of happy M8 owners then those who have had issues. My 18 Roadglide has had zero issues in just under 10k miles.

If you gave me a brand new M8 for free.....I'd sell it and buy a couple of good motorcycles.
