Sold my 2019 Heritage because I'm moving to another state and didn't want to take it with me. Bike was fine, no issues.

Alot of these bikes were either:
a. Drop dead dealer to dealer deals and were taken off of MSO but did not have an end user - the 84 miler - sometimes cash flow sucks
b. Too much bike and not enough rider the - 800 miler
c. $hit happens

Bullshit...
Shovels sounded nice and I loved them when they were all I could get....But I was glad to see them replaced by a far superior engine (EVO) and was glad to see the EVO replaced by a far superior engine (T/C) A quick cam change and proper set up and they both sounded like a Harley.
The M8 on the other hand....Sounds like a dehorned Camaro.

Evo's blah blah blah, my evo blah blah, evo does this, blah blah blah...... sorry the true rumble & lope sound died when they went to the all aluminium engines with lighter flywheels, can't bullshit your way around basic physics and metallurgy.

Evo was and is a decent engine but it changed and so did the sound.

I agree with you on that....and i own a M8. It sounds too keyed up to be a "Harley" sound.

Go to the used car lot of any new car dealership and they will have tons of 2018 and 2019 cars on the lot.

I find it amusing when the topic of Harley sound comes up. A lot of people buy a bike based on image and advertising. They want to become that bad boy that HD has promoted for many years. Bottom line the current EPA HD sounds just like a Harley because that's what it is. You may not like the sound but it's genuine Harley Davidson sound. Look at the badge on the side if you are not convinced. Some people had heart attacks with electric start, use of aluminum in engines, fuel (god forbid) injection, hydraulic clutches, radios, and ________ (pick your advancement).

Looks? Some Hondas look more like Harleys than some Harleys. But there's that image thing that so many people are hung up on.

But the original question is why so many virtually new bikes for sale? That image thing gets them into the dealer and that image thing is promoted and sold. Reality sets in soon enough and they sell that big ole scary thing collecting dust, and payments, in the garage.
