Default Moving to Colorado

Thinking of a move to Colorado and am about to sell my stock exhaust system. Florida doesn’t have inspections or anything, I have a set of Big Shots on my Dyna and cops don’t care.

Should I hang onto the stock system for Colorado? Do they have inspections or care about having a stock setup?

My research seems like they only have emission inspections for vehicles over 7 years old, and my bike’s a ‘16.

Any advice would be great, supposed to sell it tomorrow.

My sig shows my long shots, no baffles. And no emissions test on bikes. They get enough out of me on yearly emissions test on my diesel pickup.

No emissions test on motorcycles here. There is a loudness limit but I have never heard of anyone being ticketed for loud pipes unless they are doing something like blasting straight pipes around homes in the early morning.

No inspections of any sort.
A few municipalities have noise ordinances, but I can't remember hearing of it being enforced anywhere unless you're playing the asshat.

If you're moving to the front range, just remember there is a 15% power loss due to the 5000 foot (and higher) altitude. It's roughly a 3% per thousand feet kind of thing. And you can really feel it. Dunno if that matters. Just be aware.

Thanks guys, seems I’m good to sell my stock exhaust then. I’d happily trade a 15% power loss for the pleasure of riding through mountains rather than boring hot straight roads down here.

And remember if you move to the Front Range it’s like living in California

Warning! Some years ago I seriously pondered moving to CO, but on my exploratory trip, as soon as I arrived there was this strange, white weird s**t dropping from the sky. Got the hell outta there quick.

Snow would be a welcomed change...
