Find a decent brand name AGM with a warranty. If you buy local you won't have a problem returning it if it fails.

I expect we'll all be using Li batteries in time but the last I checked em out they were 3 x the price of an AGM plus they needed a special charger and there was no guarantee you'd get 3 x the service life. I don't yet see enough benefit to attract the premium investment but in time I'm sure there will be.

My 1911 is old tech too but it shoots as well as any plastic gun.

Me personally, I've never gotten more than 2 1/2 - 3 years out of a battery so I just buy used batteries for $25 from Square Deal Batteries in Tampa. They have a 60 day warranty and I've been rolling on my current one for a year and a half with no problems. At that rate even if I have to buy three batteries I'll still get six years of life for $75 which is probably less than half of what most of you guys pay for one battery!

Polymer. And they hold more rounds just in case there's multiple gobblins.

Default Batteries

I use a Duracell Ultra from Batteries Plus. They are not pro rated if you need another one within the 2 year period. Cost about 150 bucks.

I find it moderately amusing when someone comes on here and posts a question that could be easily answered by doing just a very small amount of research over the Internet. That's just me. I know how to use a computer, most of the time!

Last summer I decided 5 riding seasons was enough on the orginal battery in my 2014 Ultra Limited. Got input on the Forum about batteries, how to save a few bucks, reliable suppliers, etc. Finally, WTF, walked into the Harley dealer parts counter, asked for a battery, he pulled one out from under the counter, and I installed it. Was it an extra $60 bucks - yes. Was it all said and done and I moved on to the next thing in my life - yes. Battery Mart gets a lot of positive comments on here if you want to your credit card number to one more on-line outfit.
