Looking for a quit 3/4 helmet with shield
I have use the HJC IS 33 and also the Harley HJC equivalent. They tend to resonate the exhaust inside the helmet a lot and not buffer out too much wind noise. I remember back in my sport bike days that the Shoei helmets were wonderful for noise. So does anyone have any experience with the Shoei j cruise? If not can you recommend a helmet that might cut down on some noise.

Hey Drew; No dog in the fight here but I love this shop... Have you been to Motorcycle Center on Rt18 North in East Brunswick? They have a very good selection of helmets and a terrific size inventory. Its a HD / Squid place but these guys know there stuff. Franco the main mechanic is the old lead from Hannums. They also do great work.. But to answer your question, they dont carry junk but I have purchased a Snell/Dot FF for 139.00 here.. They have MANY 3/4s. Mike who is the accessories guy REALLY knows his shi* as does everyone else there..

I have the same 3/4 helmet and agree it is very quiet and comfortable. Also have a Bell Custom 500 that is also very quiet just hot as comfortable as the Shoei RJ Platinum.

I use the Shoei J-Cruise. Was a very snug fit and it took a while to break in, but now very comfrotable and VERY quite. Have a Sena S-10 Head set in it that I listen to my tunes on. Have held phone conversations on it and the caller did not even know I was on the bike. Not cheap but good quality.
