"From scratch" means just that. Not buying parts from a book and simply assembling.
And a frame that's already done isn't "scratch."
Buying tubes, bending and welding. That's gets credibility.
Right, because when I make pancakes from scratch I first go into my fields and sow the grain, then after a few months of growing I bring it inside to germinate the husks until starches have developed from a malting process. Once the starch is developed I can mill the grain and separate the husks to isolate the fine flour powder and finally get started on my pancakes.
But wait, I have to first milk the cows if I want butter with my pancakes. And don't even get me started on tapping the Maple trees for syrup...
