It drives me nuts when my bike is anything other than spotless and shiny, so I do my best to keep it that way (but I'm not perfect).

I try to keep my bike spotless at all times , after all , she is my baby . She looks after me as well as I look after her . I ride approx 20,000 Km in a 6 month season , but when I do longer runs I'm not as picky , wipe the bugs off the shield and go . When I get home I'll put her in the shop , crank up the tunes and spend the day polishing , almost as relaxing as riding .

Once or twice a season, or until the bugs get so thick that the color is undetectable

Spotless and it helps if you're retired.

In between. I like to keep it spotless but it is a bitch to keep clean. I wash and wax it every couple months. Other than that I use some spray cleaner to get the bug juice off the front and ride.

I try to keep it looking descent but I would rather ride it.

A good wash every couple months with a lot of lemon pledge in between.
