Would you ride through this?
Met up with some buddies for our Sunday ride up in the canyons. I had just washed the bike earlier that morning and the others had spent some time cleaning and polishing as well. We looked good, we looked styling.
Until we had to cross this section on Mulholland Highway.
Looks like a water hydrant just blew it's top.
While we sat there for a few minutes, gaging the water pressure and charting a course....many guys on Harley's were just turning around to find another route.
We proceeded and get completely soaked. It actually felt good as the weather out here has been very hot.
Mud and water spots all over the bikes...my girl needs another bath.

Looks like a good time to me! lol. I hate hitting rain right after I clean the bike but it won't stop me from riding if I already have a trip planned or get caught in it while out riding. When I left for bike week I spent hours a few days prior detailing the bike, get up the morning we are supposed to leave and its raining. I could have waited until the end of the day to leave after the rain quit but we threw on the rain suit and headed out first thing. Bike was filthy when I got to the beach but oh well

If there was another route reasonably close (say 10-miles +/-) I'd turn around. If not, it's only water and a little dirt. I've ridden through worse including snow, fresh chip seal, swarms of insects etc. Yeah, it's a pain to re-detail the bike, but you're going to wash it again anyway.....

It's just another car wash. Did you go through and break out your detailing cloth to get the water drops off at the next stop?
J/K...I'd be cautious of not being able to see oncoming traffic & water plus power lines don't mix. Also what if this were on the other side?
