Default Lane Splitter HD no longer

Went down to Lane Splitter HD in San Jose, CA to pick up some maintenance items. Come to find out House of Thunder in Morgan Hill, CA picked up this dealership. New name is San Jose HD.

I think this is a good thing, I've always liked House of Thunder better. If they keep the same business model for the new San Jose HD, it should be an improvement.

Good. Lane Splitter had a terrible reputation and poor employee morale.

Yes, that's what the salesman mentioned to me.

So tie went for San Jose, Harley Davidson to Lane Splitter HD, and back to San Jose Harley Davidson. That older version of San Jose Harley Davidson was made me stop buying HD's back in the early 2000's and move on down the road to Indian.

They were just rude ****ers back in the day. Blue jeans, t-shirt, and work boots and they would ignore me everytime I walked through the door...

This will be a welcome change! HOT does things right and great customer service! I remember a couple years back I went into Lane Splitter made a offer on a bike and the sales manager and I agreed on the price but I told him I needed him to confirm some questions about the bike that he wasn't 100% on and to call me once to confirmed my questions. He never called me back and I never went back to the dealership!

HD hasn’t had a good dealership in San Jose since Sam Arena HD closed decades back.

Too many dealerships in the local Bay Area. Rules of supply and demand are gonna kick in sooner than later. be interesting to see how long it will remain open.
