HD's global sales drop another notch...
KTM just passed the MoCo in total sales worldwide. Honestly, I'm stunned. I thought KTM was a bit of a niche player. I had no idea that they were selling so many bikes.

Your mention of Polaris makes me wonder how their motorcycle business is doing. Yes, they’ve increased Indian unit sales starting from a relatively small number, but I’m curious about the return on investment Polaris is getting from their Indian business. Be interesting to know what Polaris’ ROI expectations were after they wrote off Victory and went with Indian. While Polaris doesn’t report contribution to profit of their Indian business, no doubt they’ll be fine since they produce other products. Still, the downward trend in sales for heavyweight bikes has got to affect Indian, Harley and Gold Wing business.

I've got my eye on a KTM 790 Adventure R. I've been looking for a small, lightweight adventure bike and this seems to be the middleweight hot ticket right now.
