Default Harley Trenton mesh jacket review

I typically ride in a t shirt and wanted something that will be a tad more protective. I decided on mesh because I will actually wear it during summer months providing it breaths well. I know it’s not leather and won’t hold up as well but hey. After lots of research on Harley jackets and other manufacturers I went with Harley’s Trenton mesh. Paid 120 and after 300 miles on the bike today I am impressed. I went with a large for an extra layer or two for the morning but it’s not to big by any means for when I stripped those layers off. Morning started off at 57 and ended around mid 80’s. After riding in a t shirt I can tell you this is way better. I didn’t feel as hot because the sun wasn’t directly on me, while cruising was a nice breeze through the jacket even with the batwing. The inside with a t shirt on is super super soft, plenty of pockets, classic Harley orange stripe and not over done badging. It has armor pockets for the elbows and shoulders but lacked a pocket for the back which was a bummer. The armor is also sold separately. I would definitely purchase this again. I’d check it out. Ride safe.

I found it to be almost unbearable around 80* sitting behind a fairing.
I used mine a lot this past winter with a sweatshirt under it in the mornings. Styling is nice!

With a windshield, I find the Trenton jacket is comfortable up to about 90 degrees. Beyond that nothing is comfortable.

Thanks for the review. I've been eyeing this jacket for the same purpose you were.

I have the Irogami mesh jacket, its a little warm sitting still in south Louisiana traffic but once I get rolling its pretty nice. It also has armor pockets. And I got it 20% off!!

Yea I checked that out too. That’s a nice jacket as well. You must have only paid about 100 bucks. Can’t beat that. Little more visible with that pattern/colors.

Thanks for the posting - will look at this. I generally ride in a t-shirt as well and have been thinking about a mesh-jacket.

FWIW- Get the newer D30 armor. It’s flexible and firms up on impact. I’m waiting on a Bilt brand mesh. I’m gonna remove the CE that comes with it and put D30 in shoulders, elbows, back.

Might a local seamstress-sewing shop make a pocket for the back of your HD jacket to hold a D30 back pad?
