I totally understand that would cost you more than the parts, my thing is the principal. I hate seeing people get ripped off. I was screewed before just like you, tried doing it the right way. That didn't work so I did it my way and payed for it hahahaha. He'll never screw me again LoL. Seriously hope this works out in your favor man.

Contrary to what some seem to be advising, you don't need an out-of-state assault charge and arrest on your record in addition to potentially losing your bike parts. I know it sucks and there are lowlifes in this world, but there's no point in adding more pain on top of what's already there.

Don't take this personally but you're a damned fool for not having it done locally where you have some amount of control over what goes on. You just got an expensive life lesson in common sense. Chrome shops are like painters more are total flakes than reliable.
Moral of this story is NEVER send your **** out of site, times proven this way too many times not to be true.

From your friend in the insurance business - We see claims like this all the time. Call go to your local PD and report this as a theft. They will either expedite this for you or have you call the PD where the vendor is. This isnt fraud, its not like you paid for an apple and they sent a banana. This is theft or theft by deception. THEN file an insurance claim - it should be a non-chargeable.

Thank you, it seems the best I can hope for is for the credit card company to refund the money I paid through them. The jerk owner claims that he's done work so the parts are his. If he had truly completed the work I assume the right thing to do would be ship the parts to me and I'd gladly pay for it. After all, that's what we agreed to in the first place.
