I dunno about $25 price. My 2007 all ***** was 100, I am thinking 2007 is odd year, old frame and 6 speed. Still other years not $25. Did you buy components? Hours work????

5 speed outer primary has to come off. With 6 speeds you don't have to which is nice. 2-1 makes it really quick, don't have the bracket to deal with.

First few times I did not have extra long allens, that is really PIA. For last time I used long ball allen, could do all the work from right side, rather than 1/16th of turn.

If the problem is the starter clutch a replacement kit can be purchased for around $100. The starter needs to be removed (2 bolts) and the clutch replaced - takes about 30 minutes.

Thanks, I watched a YouTube video on how to do it, seems simple enough that even a dolt like me could do it. YouTube has saved my *** so many times I cant count it.

I bought a battery two weeks ago and finally got around to installing it last night. Went for a long ride today with 3 or 4 quick stops. The bike had no problems starting and there was no horrible grinding noise at restart. Hoping this fixed it. Fingers crossed.
