First try avoiding the potholes, then try tightening them up more.
Max them out and then start to back them off until you get them "Just right"

I agree HD shocks suck ..... but at 180 lbs and ur bottoming out ?? Something else is wrong here . Put some shocks off a 2017 Streeglide on my 09 Streetglide and I (210 lbs, GF 135) tourpack, 2 cases beer and half the house will not bottom out , just saying , maybe a trip back to the dealer is in order before spending $$$$

I agree with others who recommend getting the bike in to dealer before spending the dough on aftermarket. Regardless of HD suspension quality vs. aftermarket, your shocks should not be bottoming out...it's a brand new bike! Start with the dealer and go from there. Personal experience...I swapped out stock rear shocks for air suspension on my 2012 SG and hated it. To each their own, but my bet is on your shocks being defective. Good luck.

No matter what bike model it is the rear shocks should come standard with 3” of travel. Because once you seat on it you lose a inch . Harley’s rear shock design has sucked for many years now because the riders want the low low low look so they sacrifice all the comfort of riding .
