Default The demo truck is in town

The HD demo truck pulled into our lot this afternoon. They'll roll the bikes out on Saturday (the 29th) and Sunday (the 30th). Sorry, no Livewires on board and I know a lot of you are disappointed If you look at the tractor, that thing looks like it's got a one bedroom apartment attached to it's a looong sucker! Any way, let me know if you need more info.

I can go to my local dealership any time they are open, pick my bike of choice and take it for an unlimited ride without an escort.

Nice looking rig though.

The, or one of, the demo trucks is supposed to be here next weekend. I'm looking forward to it as its been several years since they were here. The local dealer always says 'come in any time and try out a bike' but no thanks. I don't want any salesman bugging me when I'm not ready to buy a bike.

Agreed, unless I'm really in the market I do my test rides from the demo truck, you just pick one out, ride it, then pick another and go, after awhile you go home. No pressure. I did test ride from a dealer before I bought my low rider and they tossed me the keys and said "bring it back before you run out of gas". I went out with no guide and rode about an hour on all kinds of different roads

Had the truck here two weekends ago. Nice long rides that gave you enough time to get a good idea of the ride in various condition Rode the fxdr and new fat boy. Didn’t care for either. Tried a sportster 883 and was more fun than either. Finished the afternoon trying a CVO ultra. All the bells and whistles and nice looking Surprisingly I prefer the stock touring seat and grips over what they have on the cvo. The ride was too stiff overall for what I prefer on a touring bike.

I am planning to stop by after my AM ride on Saturday. Not sure I will ride anything but I do plan to grab a quick bite and a drink (will there be cold beer?)

I love it when the truck is in town. I just wish they would allow unescorted rides. Last time I went I could barely get above 50mph. 🙄

You're not doing it right. Make sure you are last in line and then fall behind a bit, then do what you have to do to catch up to the rest of the pack....

Tried that. They have a big list of rules they go over at the beginning, and one of them is "No slingshotting"...which is what I was planning to do. They threaten to ban you from any future demo rides if you break the rules. Bunch o' Nervous Nancies.
