Why would you want to do that ? You would be asking for it. Some jackhole would surely start F’ing with you. NOT worth it !

I agree. Lots of states allow it but there is too much road rage out there for me to consider it.

actually very few states allow it.

article was very vague about what happened. motorcyclist 'may' have been filtering, not clear if he hit suv or suv hit him, etc....

I note that filtering is not the same as California style lane splitting.

Filtering is when you pass between lanes of stopped cars to get to the front of the pack at red lights.

Its illegal here, but I've been doing it for years. Never any trouble from the cops, but then again, if I see one in the line, I won't filter.

On occasion, some petty ******* who thinks his life is made better if he is ahead of me in traffic gives me some grief. I ignore them.

Lane Filtering is avail in CA, UT and is it allowed in NY? I see a lot of videos of them doing so.

Regardless, I never am in a rush when I'm riding, I'll wait my turn. I know there are statistics for both sides, just like the marijuana debate, everyone's got an opinion.

The Moto cops were not filtering per the law in Utah, cars have to be stopped for a light for the motorcyclist to move on up to the front. Ether this MoCop just crashed into a stopped vehicle, or they were filtering to the stop while cars were still hopping lanes, trying to get ahead.

Mass drivers are too big of an ahole typically.. I've seen people cut off pedal bikers that were riding on the right side of the road because they were pissy about being stuck in traffic.

Man, hats off to you. These Omaha jackholes are a self-righteous lot that would just as soon run you over then let you ahead of them. I'm not going to test it.
