Default 18 Street Glide Electrical Problem

Just a question for those of you who know your way around the inside of the fairing. I have a newer 18 Street Glide Special. All the electrical controls on the left side have stopped working at once. I'm going to assume there's a harness inside the fairing that came unplugged. Any thoughts before I take off the outer fairing? I will not be able to do anything until the weekend.

Also, is there anywhere online where the service manuals can be bought?

You have an '18 model year bike that is still under warranty. If it was me, I would take it to the dealer and let them deal with it.

As far as online purchases, including service manuals, here are two online dealers:

Surdyke HD

New Castle HD

^^^ This. If there's still a warranty I would have the dealership fix it. I had the fairing off my 04 Electra Glide a few times and while its not a huge or particularly hard job, its a PITA none the less.

To answer your question, YES.
There is electrical harnesses behind that fairing.
Depending on what options your bike has will directly effect the amount there is under it.

But like stated the bike is under warranty, so why mess with it.

I agree if the Dealer can get it in let them check it out.
The fairing comes off easy, 7 screws, just remember where the long ones go. Connector 24 is what you'll be looking for. Since the whole left hand module isn't working you can't check codes....... Each module communicates via Can Buss so if it isn't the connector the module will need to be replaced.

Had a similar issue, took fairing off and found mice had built a home in my fairing...I **** you not. And they ate some of the wires, which your warranty will not cover. So might behoove you to take a look under there.

That is so typical of the left. Pay your taxes, they must need more government assistance.

I'm guessing you posted to the wrong thread.

Don't you have a warranty on the bike? If so, use it you paid for it, simple.

This may be obvious, and please forgive if someone has suggested....but have you looked at the fuse box? You may have a fuse that went bad. Pretty sure they come with spares in the fuse box as well.
