Get rid of 2014 Road King for older bike?

I love my 2014 Road King. It's the best running Harley I've had to date. It only has 3500 miles on it (I only ride it around town or on short hops). There's not a thing in the world wrong with it. But for some reason, I have the itch to get a more "vintage" bike. I just like the old school look, and I've seen some gorgeous older bikes on this forum. I'd have to sell the Road King to get the older bike. Am I nuts?

The picture is in my sig. As far as mods, it has slip-ons, decatted head pipe, tune, all LED lighting, Tall Boys floorboard brackets, extended levers.

Sorry, using a tablet and sig pics don't appear. What value do you place on it?

To answer your last question ...yes you are. But you only live once...get what makes you happy.

Get it, and enjoy it, if not get another RK!

Nothing wrong with old school... Get whatever puts a grin on your face.

Don't do it! The Rushmore touring bikes are the best things going, IMO. I also have a 2014 Road King with 10 times more mileage than yours and I love it! Yours is practically brand new! Why let it go? You'll probably regret it at the first signs of trouble with an older bike. That's for certain.

How "vintage" are we talking here? Do you have the mechanical skills to handle the problems that can come with an older bike?

I had a 2011 RK and sold it after buying older bikes. I do miss the RK at times for the heft, power, 6 speed and ABS believe it or not. Ill end up with another one at some point but Im loving the old bikes and wouldn't switch back, I would only add a RK for those times I want that look and feel.

Goodbye 2011 RK.....
