I recently installed a set of Big City Thunder Monster baffles in a set of V&H big shots. I liked the sound in the stock location so then decided to go ahead and drill a new mounting hole 6” up from the end of the pipe like the manufacturer recommends. Since then I’ve noticed a higher pitched harmonic sound, usually when I’m cruising around 30-35 mph. Could this be from the original mounting holes being open at the end of the pipes. Curious if anyone else with these baffles experienced this sound

 

I ran those baffles in a couple different set ups and didn't notice a noise like that. Try plugging those holes with a small bolt to see if it changes.

 

Tried that with no change. I’m starting to wonder if that specific vibration is causing something else on the bike to rattle and it’s not the exhaust. It’s driving me nuts
