Default What kind of riding are you into?

Let's see here. there are as many kinds of riding as there are bikers out there. Some people like to barhop. Not my thing. Some like to ride as fast as they can anywhere they go. Others like to cruise and make the scene. And others like to ride the twisties and scrape pegs or floorboards.

I like to cruise and make the scene and also hit the twisites, however I find the Fatboy a bit slow for the way I like the twisties. I am a certified adrenaline junkie and got the Fattie to slow down a bit. I sold all my other bikes a couple of years prior to getting the Fatboy. One voice keeps resonating in my head of a friend of mine. You must have the right tool for the job. Twisties are made for sportbikes or vice a versa. Well, I take them nice and slow now and wave all the sportbikes around me. Quite a change but my guess is it will keep me going a little longer. How about you?

I like to ride long distances. Several weeks on the road with nothing but a map and some time.

If I can get there on the bike then that's how I go.Doesn't matter if it's long distance or short.I enjoy it either way.

Day trips, 500 miles or less on the backroads as much as possible. Unless its my vacation, then its 10 days with no map, no plans, no phone, blackberry, laptop... Ok, I DO take my cell for emergencies, but you get the general idea

I like to cruize. Long weekend trips for now. We ride with a couple other couples in the same boat. We have a great time with
no attitudes. I injoy riding with the wife the best. She's one of my best friends. That should get me on the good side of her. LOL! My wife had 3 children and I have two so we have to do the long weekend thing for now. Baby setting thing. Looking forward to a ride accross the US
someday.

I'm a highway guy, whether it is days on end or 400-500 mile day trips. If there are some curves and maybe a few twisties in the way, that is cool, but just give me some backroads, no traffic and no time constraints and I am happy.

Riding with my wife. Neither of us are adreline junkies so twisties don't appeal to us. Long slow curves are fun as well as wide open spaces. We enjoy anything from short day rides to week long trips. On longer trips we normally only plan on covering 250 to 300 miles a day. That way, we can take our time and stop any time we see something interesting.
