Dawg is correct. Ronnies microfische shows part no.47200266 inner fairing mount bracket. Cost $72.99
Just buy a new bracket and go from there You are in this deep anyways no sense half-assing it now just fix it the correct way. Maybe snap a pic of both brackets side by side together with your receipt and email Harley Corporate looking for reimbursement. Good on you for finding it...good luck with a fix either way.

Didn't the OP say the bracket appeared to be square? He suspected the holes in the frame are misaligned.

didn't someone somewhere mention that maybe it is supposed to be off a little to the right as found through wind tunnel testing? not sure if i believe that or not, but if you buy a new bracket and it is off the same amount, then it would lend some credibility to that theory...

I'm curious. Did you guys not read his post or do you not believe him when he says the bracket appears to be square. Just wondering

Yeah, not a bad idea to get a new one to compare the two. I did inspect it and it looked fine. I think it would have been obvious to see if it were crooked by nearly a 1/4”.

they are pretty stout so bending it is out of the question, so it would have to be built out of square.

As far as the fairings being tilted to the right for aerodynamics???? Not sure I’ve heard that one before, but then all of the bike would be like that no?

Noticed that on a 2020 RGS I sat on today, mentioned it to the salesman and shrugged it off, should of sat on another to see if it was the same, next time I will.

I would try the shim, and if that doesn’t do it bring to the dealer, if it’s under warranty still.

i found where i had read that. it's actually on this forum too....

After taking it back to the dealer, the tech's agreed that the fairing indeed looked tweaked to the right. They also concluded that it seems all the Road Glides are that way. They called the their support at HD and was told the following:

When the Road Glides were designed and wind tunnel tested it was determined that the left side of the bike had more drag because of the primary chain case. The fairing was purposely tweaked to correct for this drag and make the bike travel straight without the tendency to pull to one side.

I don't know if I'm buying this explanation but it''s what the MOCO said about the issue.
