I rode it the last week of June this year. It was in the upper 90's most of the way to Cody. The next day it was pouring rain when we headed towards the pass. Near timberline it changed to sleet, fog and temps in the upper 30's. It was a wet, cold ride into Red Lodge.
The next day on the way home, sunshine and 90's. Luckily I'd been there before when the weather was nice!

You can experience all 4 seasons in the few hours it takes to ride Bear Tooth. Kim and I have been lucky to ride it several times and we always ride it, top to bottom, get a sandwich in Red Lodge then head back up to the top. It's a beautiful ride anytime but our last trip in 2019 was mid June and the snow adds another dimension to the beauty.
If you have it on your list you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for the pics. I rode over Beartooth Pass on a pitch-black moonless night in the summer of '77. A wild horse appeared in the road when I was rounding a switchback, and those glowing yellow eyes startled me so bad that I let out a yell. I had ridden through Yellowstone that day and wanted to get to Red Lodge, which I did. I was returning from SF, CA to MI on my '76 Honda GL1000. The temps were in the 40s all the way across the Northern Plains and I froze my butt off because I didn't have enough gear and no CC. I could have headed south but I had never seen the Northern Plains. It seemed cold all the way through the UP until I got well down into the "Mitten". That was a great ride.
