Harley’s Long-Rumored Bronx Seems to Be On Again

The on-again, off-again Bronx is seemingly on again.

They'll blow it with the price.

Only for those that dream of owning one but can't afford it or get credit.

While it looks nice, it does not look like the Bronx images I remember?

Will have to see what they are asking for it when/if it really does come out.

I'm not into that style of bike however, I really like the looks of that one.

After Matt Levatich "retired" hahaha uh huh.

I like the bike, bet its a hoot.

I kind of suspect that the only thing that stopped this bike from showing up sooner was that H-D wanted to get a couple of successful models with the 1250cc engine before moving on to the smaller one. Then they wanted the debut model with the 975cc engine to be a "safe" model. The Sportster Nightster is a market they already do well in, so success is pretty much assured. Since the Bronx isn't the debut model featuring the 975cc engine its sales can be just OK without the press and forum posters claiming it's a sales flop that will doom the company.

I kind of doubt that the Bronx will have the performance and pricing needed to beat the GSXR 1000 in the market, but I think it will find some appeal to younger buyers than most of the H-D product line. I'm expecting it to have a slightly higher output version of the engine than the Nightster has, kind of like the Pan America has the high output version of the engine the Sportster S has.

The GSXR is not a Streetfighter. Depending on price, everything else previously announced, power, speed, weight, etc., puts the Bronx right in the upper tier of Streetfighter models. When announced, lots of non-Harley specific forums were well interested in the Bronx hitting the floor.

Old or not, I'm interested, would prefer the Café styled Sportster they teased about, but, if the price is right, I might be a player on this.
