Anybody know Illusion motorcycles
I ran into a friend of mine last nite who's trying to help his brother sell his bike. I've met his brother a few times usually in a bar, guess that was his undoing. He bought a new V-rod and had a disagreement with a tractor trailer about four o'clock one morn. He was in a coma for a while and is now up and about but not very functionial.
The brother has a 97 Illusion with about nineteen thousand miles,1800 cc S&S motor(I think that's 110 c.i.),Andrews five speed trans and some kind of belt drive.I saw the bike once, can't remember that much about it,think it has a swing arm frame and a mid-glide type front end and a purple paint job, very clean bike, cast wheels and an extra set of wire wheels. Told my friend I'd try to help them sell the bike,he's supposed to bring it over tomorrow for pictures.
Anybody know anything about these bikes, any idea of value. I did a search, think the original company is out of business and Nada has no value on the bikes due to limited number of sales. I'm thinking eight to ten thousand.
Thanks
Tom

Thanks,I looked at that site earlier, doesn't really offer any info about the older production bikes.

illusion
The first illusions were custom builds by a single person with enough accreditation to actually be approved for a full vin. there were a total of five builds to include a father son set. I have seen, the father of that set and last known value was $20,000. it is snappy, and keep belts on hand. they are an odd size and hard to find. Should have illusion etched into motor somewhere. it may be a s&s block, but a far from standard setup.
