For me, nothing under the tree. Spent the entire day with my beautiful wife - watching football games. Never left the house. For dinner, I actually had a PeanutButter and jelly sandwich (actually like those now).

Our daughter and her husband are in California and our son, his wife and granddaughter are in North Carolina. That said, the fun arrives on Wednesday - all of them are doing in. Our granddaughter is almost 4 years old and we wanted her to be home so she could open her presents there. Told our son - you have your own family now and you should enjoy them at home.

But, starting Wednesday evening, all heck is going to happen at our house. The gifts will come out of the closet and go under the tree (don't trust the dog with having the gifts our now). The basement is set up for our granddaughter - all of her favorite toys are there. Molly is set up and so is the tent.

For dinner - we always have steak and king crab legs - been doing that with the kids since 2004. Mac & Cheese, greens, cranberry sauce (the gel), Hawaiian rolls, sweet tea and pecan pie.

Sorry - hope I don't sound too excited.

Merry Christmas everyone - Happy New Year.

I got to deal with a 78 year old Alzheimer's suffer for 5 hours it was very tiring and wore my patients thin .
Wheres you son, he passed. Where's your son on the bookcase in an urn. over and over and over and then she would get pissed because she did not believe us then showed the her the urn and she would ball her eyes out for 10 minutes then say where's your son I would like to meet him.
I may have to go for a long fast ride (weather permitting) or I just might drink all day.

My wife received Willie G passenger foot pegs from Santa. Now, her foot controls are complete. She has the matching grips also.

Since she has a 21 with black engine trim, she has gotten the black & silver Edge Cut rear-brake and shifter levers to bring the black and chrome together. Now, the only thing left are the mirrors or hand-levers. She has to decide among Edge Cut mirrors (which are black), Willie G mirrors (which are chrome) or Edge Cut brake & clutch hand levers. Probably not all. She is thinking the hand levers might tear up her gloves. ie: Keep it smooth and just do the mirrors?

My Missus and I have been blessed. We have everything we need and most of the things we want.
We decided long ago to only buy useful or practical gifts. I got a new caliper, some u joint socket adaptors, and a case of MREs among other things.

We had a really nice time visiting with my family at my sisters place yesterday. It was nice with almost everyone there.

For over 30 years Christmas was for the kids. We had two kids whenever we were very young and 15 years later, we decided to have two more. So, Christmas morning was always trees, decorations, gifts, toys, wrapping paper, candy, music, and Christmas dinner.

After our children flew the nest Christmas is for family. Our kids come home, and we have cursory exchange of nick-nacks and trinkets. Now we center around Christmas dinner. We have a menu of a couple of main courses of roast, turkey, goose, pheasant, rabbit, venison, and all the trimmings and desserts. Main courses vary from year to year.

Christmas is wonderful and pleasant. But I truly miss the years whenever Christmas was for the kids.

So true. It’s a lot more fun when kids are around. Ours are grown and out of the house too but we do have two grand daughters and a nephew and niece who brighten our Christmas morning.

Nothing bike related. My parents got me some Lego stuff to add to my collection, a hit sauce bbq sauce box which is badass, and a stainless shelf for my pit boss.

I'm a single dad with a very small family so xmas is mainly only about the kids. The adults don't ask for anything.
