Oh hell no! -29F I don't know as I've ever experienced that. I've experienced -15 in the Adirondack Mts. I broke the interior door handles off the then gal pals Toyota Corolla.
I had to leave the doors slightly ajar when parked or risk having to climb in through the hatchback to gain access.

I don't mind it, many year in Alaska makes me hate the heat ;)

i woke up at 3 this morning, was 60 degrees in the house. The damn flame sensor in the furnace is out. Been a fun morning!
Got the gas fireplace fired up, finally got the sensor to work by "repositioning" it deeper into the flame.

Off to find a sensor!

I had that happen last year, take a dollar bill or any paper money and clean the flame sensor off, that will usually get it going again. I also keep spares of the most common stuff that goes bad on the furnace air conditioner and freezer.

Will do, thanks. Of course it has to happen on the first cold night of the year. I thought I might get more life out of a 6 year old system :(

This is going to take two attempts. Because I got down the road and it started raining, Had to retreat back to the garage.

We are 74 in the house and 25 outside. Expect to go down to 12 tonight. Rest of the week, it keeps dropping. I think the lowest I see for next week is 8.

We got about 5 - 6 inches of snow on Friday - driveway has been cleared. Sun came out a little and all is clean. Am hopeful that we don't get any more rain - as this might made for some slippery travel.

-12F when I got up today here, it has come all the way up to -3F. We might even get to positive numbers today! :icon_cold:
