Mad Max Motorcycles in Florida
Has anyone used Mad Max Motorcycles in Florida? I'm considering buying a bike from there, but the site looks a little suspect. They have an "add to cart" feature and offer to ship anywhere in the US for $599, which is super cheap. I called and got a voice mail. Hopefully I can actually speak to someone there and put my reservations to rest. Unless of course anyone here has experience they want to share. Thanks everyone.

After looking at the site, I see why you are suspicious. I would be too. Unless they call back and you can see the bike in person before buying, I would run away. I would also ask for the VIN and run it through the DMV before purchase.

This is the street view Google has from January 2023. Looks like motorcycle inside there to me.

the awning corner? Hurricane or semi didn't turn wide enough? My money is on semi don't know anything about the place . Are you considering buying without hearing/seeing/riding in person? ..L.T.A. ..L.T.A. |
I notice some are so quick to buy a very expensive motorcycle then go cheap on some aspects. There's no way a motorcycle can be shipped 3000 miles from FL to CA for only $599. I wouldn't waste my money on a deal that sounds too good to be true.

They may be packing the shipping into their mark-up on the motorcycle.
That said, to the point of No Regrets - I would proceed with caution ... if at all. |
Some years back, I was gonna be in Florida and perused some different sources for used bikes. I found a couple bikes that really interested me, low milage and good prices… when I saw them in person, I realized the salt air was having its way with every surface from the paint to the chrome right down to the fasteners.
I sure wouldn’t buy, even a late model low mileage bike, from Florida without seeing it up close. |
I actually contacted them with caution of course. I too am leary when it seems too good to be true, but I was curious. Funny thing is they kept trying to get my driver's license. I was just asking about the bike, shipping etc., but they wanted my driver's license. Yeah right!
Hopefully nobody gets scammed. Unbelievable the lengths people go to screw others. |
