I was traveling the other day and passed a indian dealership. I stopped in to take a look at the motorcycles. I was impressed at how light the clutch pull is on the Indian motorcycles compared to my 2023 Ultra. Significant difference!
Seems like the sort of thing Harley could work on if they want to increase female ridership. I haven’t noticed mine being particularly heavy until I got stuck in some stop and go traffic the other day and then holy crap I couldn’t wait for opportunities to throw the bike into neutral.

They did. They switched over from hydraulic clutch, which is what you have on your ‘16 RG Ultra, to cable clutches, which is what the OP has on his ‘23 Ultra Limited. I have both and I agree with you that the hydraulic clutch, especially when stuck in stop-and-go traffic, is horrible. My cable clutch bike is like butter compared to the hydraulic bike.
When I picked up my 2016 Ultra Limited down in Long Island, I got stuck in crawling bumper to bumper cross bronx expressway traffic. My carpal tunnels were SCREAMING!
While in traffic, my mind was racing wondering if I had made a mistake buying this motorcycle!
But with the info from HDF members, I learned about and installed, the Mueller EZ pull and the reduced reach clutch and brake levers.
Then it was buttery smooth like my DR 350 dirt bike.
But, it's a Harley Davidson. You can always put on the features of other bikes if you open your wallet.

Reason: spelling as always
I dont recall Indian's clutches being that much lighter than my Fat Boy's.
Indian uses cable clutches on most of their bikes, and tbh that's how it should be.
Cable clutches have larger friction zones and better finetune adjustment.
I dont enjoy using hydro clutches, they're far to much of an on off switch. Cable clutch is the way to go.
