Have you ever measured the output voltage? I have 2 of these and they both measure the same. Very strange, measures less than 1 volt. Anyone know why I would get these readings on the 12v output connection?
It needs to see a load. It will not just put out 12 volts to air. Some have a setting for completely bad battery. But many will not try if the battery is complete junk.
I have never tried a battery charger either but they might not either,
Push the exclamation button and it will turn on the power. It is typically used for when a battery is totally flat.
That's the boost button, and it didn't occur to me to press that but it did put out over 12v when I pressed it. Thanks for that info. All good I guess.
My car batt flat as I needed to move my car for the drain mechanic yesterday.
My UTRAI jumper fired it right up, had almost a year w/o ever using it.
A handy piece of kit.
Unexpectedly costly day, drain service and car batt but quickly fixed.
I’ve used mine twice. Once on neighbor’s dead SUV, and one other time on a rider’s twenty year old softail dead on the side of the highway. The bike had just died. I assume fried stator and then bike drained the battery before it stopped dead. Noco GB40 fired it right up. (Of course not for long)
I have three of them and didn’t even know about the boost button. Guess I need to look at that.
Beware one thing, if you pack it in your bags, it’s easy for the light button to be depressed inside its little duffle and drain the Noco. I tape a square piece of corrugated cardboard over the side of the charger with buttons.
