Default Question for all you bike cops

Why is it that motorcycle cops without exception seem to be the only group of riders that refuses to wave back to someone trying to be friendly. I always try to be friendly to them but it seems they feel they are too good to wave back. even a nod or something would be better than nothing. Is it a superiority thing?

Around here they wave to me all the time. State and local PD. And they are usually the ones to initiate it.

And I'll go ahead and say it before someone else does. Not another waving thread!!!! [sm=happybounce.gif]

They are the authority, they want to make money not friends.

Default RE: Question for all you bike cops

Hell, last week I jumped on one of our bike cops for not waving at me on my way to work. His answer was "I DID Wave"!!!

Told me he did the "tilt the hand to the side wave", as he doesn't like to take a hand off the bars in traffic.

Makes sense......but I didn't see that either[&:]

Wow, thats not truth, thats a stereotype. I know that some l.e.o.'s are like that but many of us are at a job for 8-12 hrs. a day, then just want to kick back and hang out with friends and family. If I lived authority 24/7 I would have gone crazier much earlier than I have.
