The leaves have turned east of Cherokee. If you are in for a great ride take the parkway north toward Mt. Mitchell and beyond. It takes about 1 hour from Asheville. I was up there on 10/14 and it was awesome. Cherokee should start turning over the next 1 - 2 weeks.

Maggie Valley will be a full sized city one day at the rate

I know, I know. All us da*n Floridians are ruinin' the state! I'm sure I'll have my place built before I retire. I've already got the land (on Plot Balsam Mountain), I just need the house on it now.
