Default Then Came Bronson!

Then came Bronson was one of my favorite shows growing up, I must have seen reruns in syndication as the original series was 1year only and 1969. I beleive I watched several years later.

youtube has a couple episodes you can watch online. The bike was a Harley Davidson Sportster 883, at least the main one was.

Don't call an Ironhead an "883", even if it was actually an 883. They were usually called 900 Sporties. Actually come to think of it, they were just called Sportsters 'cause there was only one size engine back then.

No, you didn't miss anything. They just didn't call the Sportster 883's back then. Then Came Bronson was my favorite movie and TV show back then. When you watch it now it's pretty cheezy but it was great when I was a kid. The series didn't last very long.

I would think that it would handle great. I've been running fat front tires for around 30 years.

Terry, I was just quoting the offficial site.

"The motorcycles used in the series were supplied by Harley-Davidson (according to the closing credits of the episodes); Sportsters (883cc) were used for the road shots and close-ups, with a Harley-Davidson Sprint SS350 and a Czechoslovakian CZ, and possibly a Harley Rapido 125, used occasionally for hillclimbs, beach scenes and other rough-terrain riding.
According to Bud Ekins, the stunt coordinator for the movie and the series, MGM bought two or three Sportsters for the pilot movie (which was filmed in the fall of 1968; the bikes were probably the 1969 model XLH). The bike used in the hill climb and beach scenes was a CZ, provided by Bud, who was a CZ dealer at the time. The bikes were sold after the movie was completed."
