Those picture are intense. I am sitting in a sling right now after ac socket reconstruction and i know what i have had to adapt to do while in this sling (three more weeks to go), and i can't even imagine the recoop you had to go through. Like others have said you are truely a strong person and best wishes to you. It will be an emotional moment I am sure the day you sit on your new ride that is outfitted for you for the first time. Good luck and keep that awesome outlook positve.

Sounds like you are getting the best equipment. Husbeast is right, the bigger bikes have lower center of gravity and will actually feel lighter than the sporty. Best to you!

I posted my Flickr pics earlier in the thread. There's three pages so you have to scroll down to get to the truly gruesome stuff! The new ride will take awhile yet, we're just about to start settlement negotiatins.

Don't worry, Dear. The time healing passes slowly but it DOES pass. You'll be back up on your ride soon & after a few months you'll barely remember how long the downtime was!

I wish you the very best with your new bike . I had a mechanic who worked for me in the mines some years back , he lost his arm in a freak accident and I will be damned if he didnt come back to work in 16 weeks. After knowing him and how he felt about things I wont go down the pitty road with you , I know the kind of person you are and it would be a insult to your integrity. I will say I admire your grit and inner strength and thank you for sharing it.
best wishes jeff
