Default KURYAKYN ELECTROMAGNETIC CRUISE CONTROL

I saw this a a HD dealer the other day and wondered if anyone has one or knows someone who does. It looks like a pretty slick setup using magnets to hold the throttle in place. I would post a link to it but I am computer retarded! A friend of mine wants to get it for his bike but wants to get feedback on it first.

It doesn't look like it will work with hydraulic clutches but here's the link.

We installed them on two bikes, an '05 Heritage and an '03 ElectraGlide. Easy to install, works fine. Once you set it at a certain speed, you can vary it with a slight twist of the throttle. There is no button to hit, like on a car. But the twist method works OK, as you will have to do this a little as the road grade goes up or down, in order to hold your speed.

I have looked at it several times also. It does look like a good deal. You get new grips, brake levers and the cruise lock.

There was a previous post about this before, it died fairly quickly .

If you really want to do it up right...check this out. I plan on installing one on my softail down the road (after cams, new cam plate, oil pump, lifters, etc): http://www.cruisemount.com/

I have a simple mod that works with a thumbscrewwhich a friend ofmine designed. Costs very little, under $25 or $30.00and works great. Looks good too...I'll try and post some pic's.. Have used it extensively for a couple years now it and it works great!! Very simple mod that takes all of about 5 minutes to install...(Not even that if you have your tools organized in your garage...) This is the site: http://www.kevinxusa.com/.

I wanted REAL cruise control, one that maintains my speed and that I don't constantly have to adjust the grip, so I went with the one form www.cruisemount.com. It works GREAT. The best, most usable accessory I every put on any bike. It holds the actual speed either uphill or downhill, just like they say on their web page. Their instructions were very detailed and easy to follow. If you feel comfortable removing your gas tank, then you can install this yourself. There was no messing with the bikes original wiring, no cutting, no splicing, no fabrication at all. Very professional looking kit. Well worth the money. Great people to deal with. Tons of information at www.cruisemount.com

Yeah, I came across this and showed it to the above mentioned friend but he did not seem interested. I think the cost was the issue. Cruisemount is in Emporia which is not a long drive from here. That would be the way to do it right though.
