There's four or five of these a day on ebay.... anything that wants you to sign in once you have already entered the listing is a scam to get your personal information. eBay doesn't seem to care, they don't police it very well.
If you type Harley into the search engine, then choose motorcycles, then cheapest listing you'll find a bunch of these...
It is a CON! That bike is not owned by that person. They take a picture from the internet, make up all the details, put in the MANDATORY requirement that you e-mail them first before bidding and then they start to work on you with a phony "too-good-to-be-true" deal that involves you sending advance money to someone. You never hear from them again. I personally know a man that lost a $5000 "deposit" on just such a deal. eBay tries to weed this out as fast as possible, but there are always a few that remain for a few days. Point this listing out to eBay and it will be gone within a few hours. ................. BC
I hear so much about how good e-bay is...I tried a few things, but I would Never trust a Large purchase on there! and I personaly will never buy anything again. No matter how good it sounds.
E- Bay Sucks... jmo and so does the Junk people sell on that site! But, I sure wish I had the money that the Women has that started it.
I have sold two motorcycles via eBay and I have purchased two motorcycles via eBay. All transactions were a total success and very quick. You just have to be careful, research the seller/buyer, ask the right questions, get extra pictures and talk by telephone if you are the purchaser. There is a buyer's guarantee up to a limited amount that is automatic when dealing in vehicles.
If you are the seller, have them make a deposit via PayPal up to $500 immediately. Then have them bring cash. Then both of you go to your bank and have the bank certify all bills as genuine. That doesn't take long. Don't accept personal checks or money orders. Both are subject to a lot of forgery and fraud. .................. BC
